Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department

Gardens Hospital administration was determined to set up a unique physiotherapy department, to be one of the largest physiotherapy departments in the region with 850 square meters of space,fully equipped with the latest technology machines in addition to its modern and functional design to meet the demands of the patients, and provide the health care services in an optimum way to the community by the hands of highly professional and skilled medical team.

The Department of Physiotherapy includes the following units :

1- Hydrotherapy Unit Includes:

The hydrotherapy department includes therapeutic swimming pool, butterfly tank, Jacuzzi, Scottish shower (Jet shower), sauna and contrast bathes for the treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal, disorder / dystrophy cases.

2- Electrotherapy Unit :

For the treatment of variety of medical conditions the electrotherapy unit is equipped with:

  •  Infrared and therapeutic laser machines

  •  Interferential electro machine

  •  Short waves machine

  •  Traditional hot/cold packs

 

3- Gymnastic Room

This is equipped by the best machines for the relaxation and treatment of our customers and provided of: Treadmill, Bicycle, Rowing machines, Parallel bars, Shoulder wheels, Finger ladders (wrist, hand and leg exercise table), Quadriceps bench,Tilting table, Rouche cage ,Balancetable.

4- Fungoparafin Therapy Unit (mud and wax room)

 Administered as a bath or mud pack, using highly mineralized mud mixed with oil or water. In addition to detoxification, pain relief, and stimulation of blood circulation, the fango blend softens the skin and creates soothing warmth.

 

5- Cerebral Palsy (CP) unit

Cerebral palsy (CP) is an umbrella term denoting a group of non-progressive, non-contagious motor conditions that cause physical disability in human development, chiefly in the various areas of body movement that’s why Gardens hospital was determined to provide this unit with the latest devices and machines.

6- Pregnancy Care Unit (Lamaze room)

The Lamaze technique is a prepared childbirth technique developed as an alternative to the use of medical intervention during childbirth.

The goal of Lamaze is to increase a mother’s confidence in her ability to give birth; classes help pregnant women understand how to cope with pain in ways that both facilitate labor and promote comfort, including focused breathing, movement and massage.

7- Foot Massage Unit

Foot Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques, to enhance function, aid in the healing process, decrease muscle reflex activity, inhibit motor-neuron excitability, promote relaxation and well-being, and as a recreational activity. Foot massage consists of a foot bath followed by an intense massage on various pressure points in the feet.
